"Khe Sanh Defender"
It's late February 1968, and the U.S. Marine base at Khe Sanh is under attack again. To help defend the base, a pair of Marine F-8E Crusaders from VMF(AW)-235 sweep in low and attack enemy positions with guns, bombs, and rockets.
After months of intense fighting, the soldiers on the ground and the pilots in the air successfully defended their base during the siege at Khe Sanh. This painting was done to honor their courage and bravery in a historic life-and-death struggle.

"Moonlighter"
An F3H Demon from VF-124 sets up in the marshall pattern in preparation to land aboard the USS Lexington. The pilot of this aircraft would soon become one of NASA's "Original Seven" astronauts and be an integral part of winning the race to the moon.

"Iron Angels"
Two F-8 Crusaders from VF-53 fly in for the break over the USS Bon Homme Richard. This is a recent commission done for an F-8 driver whom I had the honor of meeting at the 2000 Crusader Ball. This was a very challenging piece, but well worth the effort.

"Smoke Jumpers"
A pair of AV-8B Harriers from VMA-231 make their way around the pillars of smoke from the many oil well fires raging in the Kuwaiti desert.
